AFA League Meetings Held

The RGV Dorados this past week were  participants at the Arena Football Association league meetings held in Houston Texas in preparation for the inaugural 2022 AFA season. “ It was great meeting the fellow owners and  collectively sharing our vision for the league this upcoming season” said Mario Rey. Key discussions during the meetings centered around game rules, schedule and roster limit. The AFA will begin their inaugural 2021 season with a week one matchup on April 15th between the West Texas Warbirds and the North Texas Bulls. The Dorados will begin the AFA season April 16th In Houston Texas against the Texas Jets. “We are excited about the upcoming season and offering players an opportunity to play arena football especially our local players in the valley” said Rey. The Dorados will play a 8 game regular game season schedule, with the top four teams making the playoffs. The conclusion of the season will culminate in the AFA Carrier Cup   championship game which unique to Arena Football will be held on the USS Lexington in Corpus Christi Texas.
