RGV Dorados Join the AFA

The Rio Grande Valley Dorados are proud to announce their participation in the 2022 Lone Star Football Conference of the Arena Football Association. The Lone Star conference will consist of teams in Amarillo Texas(Amarillo Venom),Midland Texas(West Texas Warbirds),Fort Worth(North Texas Bulls), Houston(Texas Jets) and the North Richland Hills(Texas Crude). The league features two previous  champions from their respective leagues.  The West Texas Warbirds winners of the 2021 Lone Star Series and the North Texas Bulls winners of the 2021 American Arena League.

The Dorados return after last playing in 2019, competing in the International Arena Football league where they made it to the International Arena Bowl Championship falling to the Mexicah in Mexico City Mexico. "The organization is excited about returning and feel the AFA gives us an opportunity to be fiscally sound with our teams all located in Texas and allow the organization to asses our home market as fans return to indoor sporting events since the pandemic" said Mario Rey Managing Partner.  We will share our 2022 schedule shortly as well as some additional local events where the fans will have a opportunity to get a first look at the team and coaches.
